Are the NBA and other Sporting Events Immune to the Recession
Filed under: Information

sportsThere is a very good question to ask sports fans who are now dwindling in their numbers that doesn’t mean they have abandoned their support for their favorite teams or sports but that they have more pressing issues to address and have put back a little on their spending. Ticket sales are moving but not at their previous heights and sponsorships are also going down with companies trimming down on expenditures to shore up their financial standings. The recession has left no avenue of American society untouched, even sports as people lose jobs, so does their purchasing power if they do not have much savings.
Even the illustrious sport of Formula 1 Racing has seen some pull-out’s by teams such as Honda dn Toyota as these Japanese giants are hit by slowing sales and lessening demand of their vehicles. Some have even pulled out of the biggest auto shows in the US, re-focusing their finances to needs that need more funding. The recession is ravaging industry and society, just hope the economy recovers fast enough so people can get back to enjoying the game.
